Why wont my projection clock show the outdoor temperature?

i placed the remote for it outside like it said. it said that the clock will just pick it up... but it wont. How do i get it to work?

How far did you place it outside from the in-house unit? Start by holding the in-house unit in your hand close to the outside sensor and start walking away from it until it no longer registers a reading. Your manual should give you a distance like 100 ft or so.
